How do I apply to the School of Foreign Service in Qatar?

As the School of Foreign Service in Qatar grows, we encourage students to create new organizations that interest them.  In order to create a new student organization students should consult with a Student Affairs Officer in defining the group's purpose and the creation of the constitution.  Once students have submitted a draft of the organization's constitution, it will be reviewed by the Student Activities Council and the organization will be approved or the constitution will be sent back to the founders for a rewrite. 

Incoming freshman may have opportunity to apply to all of the Main Campus pre-orientation programs depending on the calendar years of both campuses.  Programs that may be available include Leadership and Beyond, Young Leaders in Education About Diversity, First-Year Orientation Community Involvement, and GO-POP programs through Main Campus Outdoor Education.

Georgetown is committed to the tradition of cura personalis -- care of the whole person; educating and enriching the body, mind and spirit. Our student organizations reflect and embrace this goal, encouraging a vibrant, diverse and creative campus community.  Students have created over 10 student clubs and athletics teams.  These student organizations range from the South Asian Society to the Girls' Basketball Team.  Although there are already many options for student involvement, new clubs and athletics teams are created as students discover new interests.

Yes.  Students at SFS-Q are able to take advantage of all of the study abroad programs run out of the Main Campus Office of International Programs.  In addition to those options, students are also able to participate in study abroad at the Main Campus. 

For students already at SFS-Q wishing to travel abroad please use the following form.  Please submit this form and your passport to John Hebden, no less than five days before travel outside of Qatar.
