Internship Program
An internship is a structured and supervised professional experience which allows students to link classroom theories with practical knowledge in the workplace. It is a career development opportunity that allows students to test the world of work while they are pursuing their studies.
Internships in School of Foreign Services in Qatar are not a degree requirement and are not awarded any credits; however, the SFS-Qatar highly encourages students to pursue internships to gain valuable work experience prior to graduation. This will provide them with the competitive edge in today’s demanding employment market.
The Career Development Center will make a number of internships available each semester for students who have the motivation and desire to pursue them. Nevertheless, you are also encouraged to take the initiative to pursue an internship with a public or private organization that is more closely aligned with your professional goals and interests. For all internships, the Career Development Center can help you identify your interests and skills, find an internship, navigate the application process, and prepare you for the internship experience.
By pursuing one or more internships during your time with SFS-Qatar, you will benefit personally, academically, and professionally. Benefits include:
- Apply classroom theory to life situations
