Internship Process
- Attempt to post Internship opportunity with SFS-Qatar Career Development Center as early as possible. For Fall internship program it is recommended that you send internship request(s) to us by 10 August. For Spring internships, 10 December is the cutoff date, while 10 April is the deadline for posting Summer Internships.
- SFS-Qatar Career Development Center will collect student applications and send them to your contact person within 2 weeks of the posting deadline.
- Arrange to do your selection process within 1 week from the date you have received students’ applications. You can interview interested students and offer them the posted internship.
- Carefully choose the right internship candidate for you. After you have accepted an intern kindly inform the Career Development Center to update our files.
- We recommend that your site supervisor complete the Internship Learning Agreement with your selected intern on their first day of internship to set work objectives and expectations. The ILA outlines the academic and site-related goals and requirements for the internship. The student is responsible for returning the form to the Career Development Center at the end of the internship.
- At the conclusion of the internship period, you are requested to provide the intern with an evaluation. We would appreciate that you properly review and evaluate the intern(s) performance and send the evaluation back to SFS-Qatar Career Development Center.

Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar just concluded the Georgetown Pre-College Series (GPS) which gave prospective undergraduates a taste of college life and a unique opportunity to gain valuable information on the admissions process.
