Terms and Conditions for Internship Employers
- Job Description: As an internship provider employer, you are requested to provide an academically qualified, professional level work experience related to students’ academic and skills level. It is required that the site supervisor provide a written job description of meaningful, career-related responsibilities and/or projects assigned prior to the student starting his/her internship. The job description will bridge the link between academic theory learned in the classroom, and practical, hands-on work experience. We can also assist you in creating a meaningful and valuable internship job description. (See Internship Posting Form and Internship Sample)
- Training: A training or orientation session at the beginning of the internship is highly recommended along with weekly or daily supervision provided by the site supervisor/mentor. We also request that you complete the Internship Learning Plan with the intern to determine areas in which s/he needs training on.
- Evaluation: We kindly request you to provide students a proper evaluation at the conclusion of their internship (See Evaluation Form). We ask that you properly review and evaluate the intern(s) performance and send the evaluation back to SFS-Qatar Career Development Center soon after.
- Safety: As the internship employer/site supervisor, you are responsible for informing student interns about any and all company/organizational guidelines, policies and any safety issues prior to the students’ start date. Employers agree to provide the same consideration of health, safety and working conditions accorded to permanent employees.
All forms should be sent to Basmah Ali, the Career Development Center Manager.
