SFS-Qatar Athletics

The athletics program at the School of Foreign Service in Qatar plays an important role in the education of our students and the creation of a healthy campus community.  Club sports teams, which include the men's soccer team, women's basketball, and cricket are open to faculty, staff and students.  The teams compete in intercollegiate leagues and play teams from all of the Education City branch campuses.  Our student-athletes train and practice in Education City, taking advantage of outdoor and indoor playing fields, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and state-of-the-art weight rooms.

In addition to club sports teams, Georgetown students can participate in classes and competitions hosted by the Qatar Foundation Recreation Center, including yoga classes, golf tournaments, and tennis games.  Qatar Foundation also provides a full-time weight room instructor and a swim coach to help you achieve your athletic goals.  If you are interested in a sport, which is not currently offered at Georgetown, please contact one of your Student Affairs Officers about starting a new club.

Hoya Cricket

The Hoya Cricket team is looking for dedicated members to make this season a great one.

Hoya Football

The SFS-Qatar Football Team is coming into this year looking to improve their 3rd place finish in last year's Education City Tournament.  The football team is looking for players who can commit to working hard and having a great time.

Hoya Women's Basketball

Is playing basketball your passion or do you just want to learn the basics?  Come and join the women's basketball team.  If you are interested in a Men's Basketball team, please contact Nabil Gaber.
