Student Affairs Officers
Since the founding of Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 2005, Student Affairs Officers have played an integral role in shaping students' experiences at SFS-Qatar. SAOs have mentored and advised the student body through clubs and organizations, service learning, programs such as Model United Nations and Planet Georgetown, as well as academic tutoring and mentorship.
SAOs are recent graduates of Georgetown University with strong academic records, involvement beyond the classroom, and demonstrated leadership ability. Read the biographies of previous and current SAOs here.
For more information on the SAO position (hired annually), please visit the SFS-Qatar Employment page. Candidates are generally interviewed in December for a start date the following summer.

This October, Georgetown student Miodrag Stamboldziev (SFS ’11) was able to put his international relations education to use while attending the Annual Meeting of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Istanbul, Turkey.
