2009 New Student Orientation
On behalf of the New Student Orientation (NSO) staff, we would like to congratulate you on your acceptance to Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar. As the coordinators of your NSO, we have been working since January to make sure that your introduction to SFS-Qatar is both exciting and successful.
NSO will begin on Sunday, August 16th and end at the commencement of New Student Academic Convocation on August 20th. Below you will find a sampling of the events that will take place during NSO 2009. We have planned a special week of bonding, fun and workshops to make your transition to SFS-Qatar a successful one. NSO is a welcome chance to meet your fellow classmates, become familiar with our academic and non-academic traditions as well as have all of your questions answered. Over the summer you will be assigned an Orientation Advisor (OA) who will be a resource to you, in addition to the other NSO staff, both before you arrive and during NSO.
