If you would like to start a new student organization, make sure to ask yourself the following questions:

• What is the purpose of your organization? 
• How can this contribute to SFS-Qatar and to the greater Georgetown community?
• Is there another club that already exists with your objectives?
• What plans do you have for your club in the short term (1-2 months) and the long term (1-2 years)?
• How many people are interested in the club? 
  
• Do you have people who would be dedicated to getting this club off the ground?

What do you need to do in order to create a new student organization?

• Read over the Student Organization Guide
• Write a draft of your consitution
• Constitution Guidelines
• Sample Constitution
  
• Bring the draft of the constitution and a proposal of your club objectives to a Student Affairs Officer
  
• Gain the approved number of signatures petitioning for the club using the Student Organization Sign-Up Sheet
  
• Meet with a Student Affairs Officer for final edits and approval of your club's constitution
