SFS-Qatar Athletics
The athletics program at the School of Foreign Service in Qatar plays an important role in the education of our students and the creation of a healthy campus community. Club sports teams are open to faculty, staff and students.
The teams compete in intercollegiate leagues and play teams from all of the Education City branch campuses. Our student-athletes train and practice in Education City, taking advantage of outdoor and indoor playing fields, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and state-of-the-art weight rooms.
In addition to club sports teams, Georgetown students can participate in classes and competitions hosted by the Qatar Foundation Recreation Center, including yoga classes, golf tournaments, and tennis games. Qatar Foundation also provides a full-time weight room instructor and a swim coach to help you achieve your athletic goals. If you are interested in a sport which is not currently offered at Georgetown, please contact one of your Student Affairs Officers about starting a new team.
