We have leased housing Apartment/Villa in different location within Doha-Qatar. All compounds are gated entry with 24-hour security. In addition, accommodations are fully furnished and free maintenance. Each compound has a clubhouse, exercise facility, and swimming pool.

All GU-Q units come with appliances, dishwashers, washer/dryers (sometimes in one), microwave, toaster, iron, bed comforter, sheets, towels, china, pots and pans, silverware etc. In addition, GU-Q provides and covers the cost of Qtel Telephone landline, Internet speed of 4MB, Water, Electricity and Cable TV (Orbit Showtime Network).

Please note: floor numbering in Qatar varies from floor numbering in the States. The ground floor is considered zero, the next floor, which we consider the second floor, is called the first floor, and so on.

Due to the frequency of live-in help in this region, villas often have a smaller rooms (usually with a bathroom) considered the “maid’s quarters”.

HOME CONTENTS INSURANCE
Finance and Facilities are pleased to announce the launch of an insurance initiative with AXA. Most landlords provide insurance for your home but this only covers the building itself and the landlord’s contents. If you want your belongings to be insured you will need to take out your own contents insurance. Finance and FM have been able to negotiate a very favourable rate with AXA for Staff and Faculty to take advantage of.
The discounted premium is 200 QAR/annum per 50,000 QAR of contents covered. You will have to declare any items valued individually at greater than 5,000QAR
There will be an AXA representative here from 9 am to 12pm on Thursday 1st March he will be in office 0F 07, Dean's Guest Office ( Admissions.Dept)

AXA also offer vehicle and travel insurance at a preferential rate for Georgetown Employees.
