Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for managing the research administration process, for developing and overseeing the annual budget and for the strategic and long-range financial planning for school as a whole. In addition, the Office is charged with ensuring that the terms of the "Agreement" between Georgetown University and the Qatar Foundation, which is basis for the formation of SFS-Qatar, are properly carried out.

 

Mission of the Office

The Office of Sponsored Programs is committed to assisting SFS-Qatar faculty, staff, students and institutional units in acquiring external funding from all sources outside the university to achieve a wide variety of goals, as well as to facilitating institutional signature authority to applications, contracts, and material transfer agreements.  We will also negotiate terms and conditions acceptable to faculty/staff and the sponsor, provide post-award administration, regulatory compliance and reports to funders, as well as SFS-Qatar administration.
