Find Your Flow
“Flow” is a mental state when you are fully-engaged in an activity, losing track of time, and doing a task for its own sake. You may have felt flow before doing something you really enjoy: painting, singing, or playing football. For the optimal academic experience, try to achieve flow in your studies as well:
- Be involved in your studies and have clear sets of goals.
- Have a good balance between the perceived challenges of your school work, and the perceived skills you have to take it on. You must have confidence in your abilities.
- Find ways of receiving clear and immediate feedback. Consult with your professors and study with other students when you can.
