Anne Nebel
Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs
Anne has worked in English language teaching for more than 15 years as a teacher, tutor, teacher trainer, materials writer/editor, and test developer in the US, Germany and Greece. She has an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and is completing a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Language Assessment in the UK. At Georgetown University Qatar Anne teaches the course "Critical Writing for Foreign Affairs", works with students on their writing, and serves as the OAS Interim Director.

Amna Ali

Bronwyn Bethel
Writing Specialist & Library Liaison
For the last three years, Bronwyn worked at the American University of Dubai where she was part-time Assistant Professor of English writing in their Writing Center. She holds a Master's degree in Education and has published her experiences working with teachers and students in rural areas of Australia.
Samreen Khan
Economics & Writing Specialist
Samreen has a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Economic Development. She worked as an undergraduate TA helping students with their writing, and she is a current contributing writer to an online magazine.
Azza Reda
Economics Specialist
Azza received her BA degree in economics from the American University in Cairo and her MA in economics from the University of London. Before joining SFS-Q, Azza held the position of Senior Economist in the Ministry of Finance in Egypt. She has also worked in Egypt's Ministry of Environmental Affairs and the Ministry of International Cooperation. For most of her career, Azza has dealt with external affairs and public financial management, but she is very happy to be working now with Georgetown University students.
Tara Corman
Writing Specialist
Tara has worked in education for the past 6 years as an English language instructor and training and development professional. She is currently working on her Masters of Education degree with a focus on teaching English as an additional language. Tara moved to Doha in 2012 from Canada and is excited to share her passion for learning and writing with the students at SFS-Q.
Sita Fox
Writing Specialist
Sita has worked in student services for more than 5 years in Australia and Canada. Having worked, volunteered, and studies abroad, a is passionate about students having international learning experiences. She holds a BA and LLB and is currently completing her MEd in Post-Secondary Studies.
Peer Tutors
Gabriella Zoia
Gabriella is a sophomore who is majoring in IPOL. She's Italian/Dominican and has a strong passion for European history. When she's not studying, she enjoys photography, a good book, and hanging out with her friends.
Nikhil Lakhanpal
Nikhil is a freshman at SFS-Qatar who enjoys a variety of sports- specifically golf, basketball, and American football. In addition, he enjoys playing the Indian dhol.
Mohammed Al Hinai
Mohammed is Omani. As a matter of fact, he is the first male Omani to ever be admitted to SFS-Q. He is an International Economics major, focusing on math. He likes to study economics and when he isn't studying economics, he experiments with game theory. Additionally, he has a passion for nuclear physics.
Ysa Chandna
Ysa rejoins OAS after his study abroad stint in Washington DC. He is originally from Pakistan, and is a very talented writing tutor. He also leads Urdu Circle discussions to help students with their language skills.
Atul Menon
Atul joined OAS in Fall 2012 and is a sophomore at SFS-Q. From India, Atul is a talented singer and also captains the Georgetown Cricket team. He is quickly developing into a strong economics tutor.
Sarim Zia
Sarim wants to set the record straight. He is indeed a junior at Georgetown SFS-Q, having transferred after two years of undergraduate study at LUMS in Pakistan. He likes writing more than he likes economic-ing, but can still try to help out with both. Additionally, he enjoys watching Mad Men and Modern Family. Sarim loves food and travel- and his city Islamabad.
Sophia Vogel

Habiba is a junior majoring in IPOL. She enjoys playing basketball and hopes to join the Hoya girls basketball team this year.She is a very skilled Arabic tutor and has joined OAS this year.
Hussah Albabtein
Hussah is an OAS Arabic Peer tutor, and it is her second year at Georgetown, and her first year of tutoring! She absolutely loves tutoring Arabic, and looks forward to seeing you in her tutoring sessions.

Leena Elsheikh
Leena is a junior majoring in International Economics at SFS-Q. She was born in Saudi Arabia and has lived in several different countries ever since. Originally though, she is from Khartoum., Sudan. She is an adrenaline junkie and enjoys nothing more than traveling.

Eilin Francis
Eilin Francis is a Junior at SFS-Qatar and will be majoring in International Economics. She joins the OAS team as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for International Finance. She is an avid debater and enjoys good ice cream.

Farah is originally Palestinian but lived in the Gulf her whole life. She enjoys teaching in general and finds Economics, in specific, to be an interesting and thought provoking way of interpreting world events.
