Academic Services
The Office of Academic Services (OAS) provides academic support for students enrolled in the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar.
OAS offers tutoring on college-level writing, reading, and economics. In addition, OAS offers assistance with strengthening language and study skills. Tutors work with students individually and also hold group study sessions. Computers, a printer, and a copy machine are available for student use.
Please check the white board outside of OAS for tutor schedules and group study session times. There is a clipboard for making appointments with writing tutors.
OAS is located in Suite A024 in the LAS building, near the Student Affairs offices. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Georgetown has named Mehran Kamrava as interim dean at SFS-Qatar. Starting August 1, Kamrava will succeed the current SFS-Qatar Dean James Reardon-Anderson, who will return to Main Campus in Washington, DC. (June 16, 2009)
