File Storage
What is GUQShare?
- GUQShare is a secure, online storage space for your University-related files. All faculty and staff are given personal accounts on GUQShare. Departments are also given departmental space to store files that are used by people in a department.
- GUQShare requires no special software or installation, and you can access your files from any computer on the Internet. This makes it very easy to get to your files when you are away from campus, or to share your files and collaborate with other people. You will be able to control who has access to your files and what people can do with each file.
- You will no longer have to send your files as e-mail attachments. Instead, you will send a link to the file in your GUQShare account. This will enable you to collaborate with people inside and outside of Georgetown without overloading e-mail accounts.
- GUQShare includes many advanced features to facilitate working collaboratively. These features include versioning, logging, comments and more.
Accessing Your Account
- You will need to know your NetID and password
- You will need to enable your account.
- Once you have enabled it, log in at https://guqshare.qatar.georgetown.edu/.
Using GUQ Share
The instructions for using GUQShare are the same for all of Georgetown University's locations. Please see How to use GUShare on the UIS website.
Remember that GUShare and GUQShare are two separate systems. Please review guidelines the best practices on sharing documents. You must have already activated your GUQShare account to view this document.
