Hardware
Faculty and staff will be provided with a university-issued computer with standard software.
Purchases
Before buying any computers or hardware, please consult with OIT support staff. They will make sure that what you get will work with the University's systems.
Connecting to a Network Printer
Your office computer will come set up to print to the university's network printers. Each department will have at least one network printer available for use.
Xerox Photocopier
There are three photocopiers in the LAS building for use by Georgetown University faculty and staff:
- LAS workroom (in Finance suite)
- Admissions Office
- Library Office
Each of these printers can be used to scan and e-mail documents. Follow these steps:
- In the "Features" pathway (top blue button on copier), select "Email"
- In the "Send:" options select "To:"
- Type in your e-mail address and press "Enter"
- Make your copies
- When your copies have finished, you will see a message on the
copier when the items have been sent ("Completed") - "Remove" your e-mail address from the list.

This October, Georgetown student Miodrag Stamboldziev (SFS ’11) was able to put his international relations education to use while attending the Annual Meeting of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Istanbul, Turkey. (November 08, 2009)
