The Business Service Center is a self-service workroom for copying, scanning, binding, faxing and laminating. The Center also houses a self- service Office Supply Room, the Bookstore and the Mailroom.
The Office Supply Room
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Office supplies are available for faculty and staff on a self-serve basis. If your needs extend beyond the basic inventory maintained, please consult the Jarir Catalog (One resides in the Business Service Center and with every departmental administrative assistant). Requests are placed using an Office Supplies Order Form which should be sent to Shelley Ford Orders are placed once a week and typically take one week to receive. It is wise to order well in advance for a large order of supplies needed for a special or specific event.
The Bookstore
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The Bookstore houses the current semester’s textbooks for distribution to both students and desk copies to faculty. Georgetown apparel, gifts, accessories and alum merchandise are for sale to both the Georgetown community and public. Sales are on a cash basis only. Arrangements can be made to sell merchandise at any event by contacting the Business Service Center Coordinator.
The Mailroom
Hours: 8:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Mail Boxes
Departmental mailboxes are available for incoming and interdepartmental mail.
Outgoing mailboxes are provided for:
- Flat mail and documents to WOO (sent via FedEx on Sunday and Wednesdays – 12:30 p.m. cut off)
- Hand deliveries in Education City (no scheduled delivery)
- Hand deliveries in Doha (no scheduled delivery)
- Qatar Post Office (no scheduled delivery)
Postage and Courier Fees
First class US postage stamps are sold in the Mailroom for 2 QR a piece. Don Nillas provides quotes for special FedEx discounted courier fees on personal shipments. Payment can be made in cash or with a major credit card.
Local postage is provided for business mail; otherwise it can be purchased at the Qatar Foundation Recreation Center.

Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar just concluded the Georgetown Pre-College Series (GPS) which gave prospective undergraduates a taste of college life and a unique opportunity to gain valuable information on the admissions process.
