Welcome to the Office of Finance and Business Services
The SFS-Qatar Office of Finance and Business Services is responsible for accurately and efficiently expediting financial transactions, for developing and overseeing the annual budget and for the strategic and long-range financial planning for SFS-Qatar as a whole. In addition, the Office is charged with ensuring that the terms of the "Agreement" between Georgetown University and the Qatar Foundation, which is basis for the formation of SFS-Qatar, are properly carried out.
Functions of the Office
- Financial and Administrative Services: This area includes business services such as purchasing and contracts, as well as general accounting functions.
- Student Financial Services and Student Accounts: This section includes information about tuition and financial aid for current and prospective students, as well as student employment and study abroad opportunities.
- Grants and Research Management: Here you will find pre- and post-award administration information, including proposal writing tips and steps to hiring research assistants.
- Planning, Budgeting and Financial Reporting: This section includes the annual budgeting calendar and strategic planning process.

This October, Georgetown student Miodrag Stamboldziev (SFS ’11) was able to put his international relations education to use while attending the Annual Meeting of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Istanbul, Turkey.
