Contracts

University policy states that contracts and purchase requisitions are required for all goods and services acquired by the University (with the exception of printing services) to ensure that the University is protected. To facilitate the purchasing process, the Purchasing & Contracts division of SFS-Qatar Finance Office has established Preferred Vendor contracts (negotiated pricing) and allows Master Contracts with frequently used vendors.

Delegation of Responsibility

The Manager of Purchasing & Contracts, reporting to the Associate Vice President of Administrative Services, is the authorized procurement officer for Georgetown University. These persons, their expressed designees and authorized exceptions are the sole agents within Georgetown University that can legally bind the University to the purchase of goods and services.

The University grants to SFS-Qatar Purchasing additional delegated purchasing authority above the general delegated procurement levels established for University departments because of SFS-Qatar’s location. Please contact the SFS-Qatar Business Service Manager prior to contracting with any of the preferred providers.

Preferred Hotels and Venues

The list of preferred vendors for holding events outside the LAS building is as follows. All of these hotels are assigned a five star rating in accordance with the standards monitored by the International Tourism Organization for Development and Investment (GATO) and the Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (QTEA).

The following are the hotels in Washington, DC that Georgetown University contracted with:
