Required Immunizations and Tuberculosis Skin Test

Georgetown University School of Foreign Services in Qatar requires all students at the time of registration provide documentation of vaccination or immunity from Polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Meningitis. In addition, all students are required to have documentation of a Tuberculosis (TB) skin test in the last year. The Immunization and Tuberculosis Screening Certificate is included in the admission package. This certificate must be completed by a primary health care physician and returned to the Student Wellness Counseling by July 1st. Students and their families are encouraged to review the Ministry of Public Health guidelines on immunization and vaccine practice in the State of Qatar. In order to avoid delays, please see your healthcare provider as soon as possible to complete the Immunization and Tuberculosis Screening Certificate, especially if your immunization records are incomplete and you need to get any required immunizations. In Qatar, vaccines are available from Hamad Medical Corporation Primary Health Centers, and Hamad Medical Corporation Vaccination Unit free of charge or from private hospitals for fee.
